Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Happy Easter, friends. What a blessing it was to celebrate the Feast of the Resurrection together on Sunday, and to walk with Jesus through Holy Week. See more photos and stories below—and join us this weekend for a Spring Workday in the garden (Saturday from 10am - noon) and, on Sunday, for This Little Light at 8:30am, and Holy Eucharist at 10am. We’ll also baptize Alex Cottone, and Verity Cheslo will renew her baptismal vows! Easter is not a day—it’s a season that lasts 50 days. It takes time (maybe even a lifetime) for this strange and wonderful news to sink into us—that the life and love of God are stronger than death. And they keep unfolding all around us. peace,

Looking to get your hands into the earth? Saturday morning we'll clean up the garden beds, spread mulch, and plant some annuals! All ages welcome!
We'll provide tools, materials, instructions—and bagels. You bring a willingness to have some fun, enjoy concrete progress, and work alongside neighbors who just might become friends.

On Maundy Thursday, we had a wonderful, all-ages potluck, and we enjoyed the easy, intimate community that Jesus knew with his friends and disciples. We washed each others’ hands, we chatted, we laughed, we went deep…in short, we had a great hang. We not only told the story of the beloved community—we lived it. |

On Good Friday, we grieved like the disciples grieved—together. We heard the terrible story of Jesus’ death again, and we prayed with our whole hearts for healing and peace. Gathering in the same place where we had partied last night, we ate stale bread, and flat prosecco, wishing we could go back in time. |

On Holy Saturday, we tried to console one another with stories of God’s promises and songs that might be a balm to our hurting hearts. We gathered yet again in the darkness of “the upper room,” with the fragile light of candles. And in that tension between grief and hope, we heard the impossible news—that Christ is risen. We also celebrated the Baptism of James Cottone, and Allison Bojarsky, Lou MacDonald, Mari Cardenas Silberberg, and Yvonne Borodavka reffirmed their baptismal vows as the people they have become.

On Easter Sunday, we partied! We sang and shouted “Alleluia!”—that Jesus is risen from the dead. We celebrated that the life and love of God are too wild and free to be nailed to a cross or sealed in a grave. And the rain held off, so the kids could enjoy an Easter Egg hunt in the garden! Thanks to everyone who had a part in making this rich and powerful week happen. It is a blessing to be part of a community that can walk through all this—real life, real death, real love—together.
