our “logo”
This might not be our logo forever. But we developed it as a reflection of the kind of community we want to be.
We don’t think there’s one *right* way to follow the way of Jesus, one normative way to participate in the life of our loving, liberating, and life-giving God. We want to be a network of people who cluster around different practices, different projects, different ways of living in faithfulness to God’s dream of a world where everybody has what they need to heal and flourish. We want to be a network of people who value our diversity, and who want to be in nourishing connection with each other.
We don’t want to be a pyramid with authority reserved to those at the top; we don’t want to be a wheel with all the power held in the hub. We want to be an ecology of mutually nourishing relationships—because we have met God in relationships like that.
It’s also important that the lines of connection here exceed the frame: the network is always bigger than “us,” always bigger than we can see at one time. We know that lots of people in our neighborhood will not join this community of Christian practice, and that’s ok. We value the pluralism and diversity we see outside our community, too—and we are committed to working in solidarity with all our neighbors in the pursuit of our shared flourishing.
